My name is Dori Ann, a Minnesota native and wife to my husband Derek and mother to my two sons Dominick(5) and Daxton (7MO) I began learning about holistic practices and lifestyle when I began working at a holistic dental practice. After a year of working there I found out I was unable to have children do to a chronic undiagnosed health issue that was mistreated for years by conventional medicine. It was devastating, not only to myself but also to my future husband. I decided in that moment, this was not the end of the road but rather an obstacle to over come and I would be a mother. When people would ask, “Are you going to have kids?” My answer was always the same. It is not a matter of “If” it is a matter of “When” and “How.” So I began my journey to find health through alternative and holistic modalities. Both of the dentist I worked with became my mentors and helped me find balance both physically, mentally and spiritually and I immersed myself in knowledge and education on the best ways to live a holistic lifestyle. I have also found mentors in Chiropractic, Acupuncture, Homeopathy, EFT, Articular Therapy, and many other Eastern and Western healing philosophies. In this journey, I experienced great strides in my health but most of all, I was able to find my life purpose to help people find their healthiest balanced self.
I graduated from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition where I learned innovative coaching methods, practical lifestyle management techniques, and over 100 dietary theories – Ayurveda, gluten-free, Paleo, raw, vegan, macrobiotics, and everything in between.
